Amy’s fundraiser for ‘Open Medicine Foundation’

Please join me in supporting a cause near and dear to my heart.
One of my dearest friends, whom many of you knew, Anne Berry succumbed to ME after a 30 year battle.

Anne and I were roomies post college, we traveled Europe together, worked at Cubs together, she ended up dating a friend of mine from college and living with me, my sister Betsy and her now husband Mark. Our time together was of great joy. We danced, laughed, explored the city, and led lives filled with a great lust for life and its possibilities.

However, during this time it became increasingly difficult for Anne to manage daily tasks without extreme fatigue, pain and mental function. Finally the disease progressed so significantly that the last five years of Anne’s life, she could do little more than lie in bed and look out the window, devoid of human contact, in pain and suffering.

This tragedy should never befall another. I know Anne would like nothing more than for us to fight together for a cure, which starts with research.
She often spoke of her biggest concern which was for those with ME who were children and had not had such a “great life” as she felt she had in her too short 48 years.

Little was known about ME at the time that Anne’s illness progressed, but now with your help, we can continue the research to help others suffering from this terrible disease, ME.

Please give and give generously. This disease can an effect anyone, anytime and we need a cure.

Your contribution will make an impact, whether you donate $5 or $500. Every little bit helps. Thank you for your support.

much love and gratitude to you in advance for your generosity,
Amy
